From the Pit: LoK Merchandise: Badge of Honour

This is the ‘Legacy of Kain: Defiance’ official pin badge, produced as promotion for the game and distributed s freebies at the 2003 E3. A slew of other ‘Defiance’ branded items were available at the 2003 E3 event, including hats, badges, jackets and mints, though most are becoming increasingly rare and expensive these days.

From the Pit: LoK Merchandise - Raziel Time

The centuries in limbo dragging on? Then you need the official Soul Reaver wrist watch!
The watch is one of the rarer pieces of LoK merchandise available today, which is interesting given that it is one of the few pieces that were originally intended for retail in the Eidos store as official merchandise.
As a watch it isn’t particularly special - The strap is a fairly basic thread and velcro design. It stands out though because the watch face is decorated with a promotional image of wraith Raziel from ‘Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver’ and the Eidos Interactive logo. The watch was presumably originally sold at some point around 2000 given the Soul Reaver image.
Details about the watch and other merchandise can be found here.

From the Pit: Lok Merchandise - Map madness

Here are a set of maps of Nosgoth from Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.

The only game in the series to include separate paper maps, Blood Omen had this map created which was somewhat different from those presented in the in-game menus and included concept art of Kain, Vorador, Malek, Mortanius and Ariel in its borders. The map was distributed in several sizes:

The smallest version of the map (at the top) was packaged with PC (big box) version of BO1 and was roughly twice the size of the box, measuring 43cm by 28 cm. A variant of this map exists which replaces the ‘Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain’ logo at the bottom with the pillars design of the other maps.

The middle version is not technically a map, but a poster/advertisement that was distributed along with the Prima official guide ‘Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Official Game Secrets’ - it measures at 46cm by 28cm but has a border on the right about 3cm wide. Several Silicon Knights games (including Blood Omen) are advertised on the reverse.

The largest map was the actual map that was included with the aforementioned Prima Guide, measuring at a whopping 78.5cm by 54cm  - more than 8 times the size of the big box.

Though the map itself is well known around the LoK-net due to its appearance on popular fansites, the physical copies of it are increasingly rare, in part due to the general rarity of BO1 and its big box PC port. The latter two are almost impossible to get hold of, as most copies of the guide that go on sale do not include them (due to them being pull-out pieces that are easily lost).

Further information and scans of the maps can be found here, here and here
